Traveling by Train (Recommended from Washington, D.C.)

For guests traveling from the D.C. area, Amtrak is the easiest and most convenient option. Both the Acela and Northeast Regional provide direct service from Washington Union Station to Wilmington, DE (WIL).

• Travel Time: Approximately 1 hour 30 minutes–1 hour 45 minutes

• Arrival Station: Joseph R. Biden Jr. Wilmington Station

• Winterthur: About a 15-minute drive from the station (Uber/Lyft and taxis are readily available). Winterthur also lists transportation options from the Wilmington station on its website.
